127 Hours - Killer movie!
127 Hours - captures the resilience of the human spirit!! Totally!

Yet another masterpiece by Danny Boyle! Its based on a true story of Aron Ralston, who was trapped by a boulder in Robbers Roost, Utah, for more than five days in early 2003 before he amputated his arm with a blunt knife. James Franco plays Aron role in the movie. He has done a fabulous job. The movie has been shot in a heavenly location and at all times the director manages to keep the audience guessing and at the edge of their seats. The scene where he cuts his hand off is extremely well taken and will give 99/100 people a bad feeling in their stomach.
Super duper movie! Must must watch!
AAA - Attention, Appreciation & Affection
Old people, like all others, need 2 things - Attention, Appreciation & Affection. Just feeding them food and letting them lie in one corner of the house like furniture is no good! Children must remember that their parents once took great care of them and made them what they are! If the same children cannot be a support for these old parents in the times of need then where do these people go!
Old age homes are not the answer! In today's times there aren't many good old age homes where people can live with dignity and comfort. And the good ones come at a cost! Many people do not send their old parents to old age homes as they feel its a waste of money. So they throw them into some corner in their house or even worse keep pushing them around from one place to another like a freaking football!
I hope there is someone making that extra effort to help people in their old age. If one can't be over-the-top joyous about having to take care of their old parents, least one can do is be human!
Blackberry Bold 9000 - Application Memory sucks!
Can I increase the application memory by allocating more of the device memory?

I don't think there is a solution! maybe switch to Bold 2 ha!
Try a reset as this will clear the memory on your device (Remove battery for 30 seconds then replace. (Or ALT-(RHS) CAPS- and DEL at the same time).
You can set an option for memory cleaning by;
1) Options
2) Security Options
3) Memory Cleaning
4) Enable. Save and exit.

They have set a record for the Most People(306) in a Barefoot Running Race. Kudos to the managing trustee Anand Anantharaman who is a fitness freak and a running enthusiast. Its amazing that somebody thought of this being a worthy candidate of the Guinness World Records and this truly is a magnificent feat!
Band Baaja Baraat - Refreshing movie!
Band Baaja Baraat - Main tho yeh movie "Ainvayi" dekhne chala gaya but yeh tho too good hai ji!

There is a dialogue in the movie where Bittoo promises a dhamaal without Shahrukh...Thats exactly what the movie delivers! Its a bonanza with newcomer Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma. The Direction is good and the editing is crisp. At no point during the movie do you feel bored. The tempo of the movie is maintained throughout! The music is pretty good and the performances are fab! Itsone of the finest romantic comedies of recent times... well done Maneesh Sharma (Director) & Yash Raj!
Jagerbomb - A shot of Jägermeister dropped into Red Bull
Jagerbomb - A shot of Jägermeister dropped into Red Bull creates a Jägerbomb.

The deadly combo of an energy drink (Red Bull) with an alcoholic drink (Jagermiester) can have quite a crazy effect on people! This combination makes the the people who drink it feel less intoxicated than they actually are - this is potentially dangerous, especially when you decide to drink and drive!
Nevertheless, its a great cocktail but one must not overdo it!
Tees Maar Khan - Horrid movie!!!
Tees Maar Khan(TMK) - Brainless & Nonsensical Crap

This has to be one of the worst movies ever made! This is not even funny stuff. I have seen a LOT of movies and even nonsense can be well made but this one fails to deliver on each and every ground!
The only thing worth watching in this movie is Katrina Kaif in the song "Shiela Ki Jawani". This song is exactly 15 mins after the movie starts. So please watch the song and exit! There is nothing that can put a smile on your face beyond that point!

Akshaye Khanna might tickle you a little in certain parts, especially the "Oscar" part. Akshay Kumar has let down his fans yet again! Looks like Farak Khan feels that she can make any crap and it would sell! Hellooo!! Yeh jo public hai yeh sab jaanti hai!
TMK waalon, tumhare kaam ki kya daat doon
TMK waalon, tumhare kaam ki kya daat doon
Ghoom ke khade ho jaao
Tumhare Pichwaade pe do laat doon!
Adaav arz hai! muhahaha
Fill the empty space in me by filling th empty space in others!
"I fill the empty space in me by filling the empty space in others"... Well said Charlie! I personally know many people (including me) who do that.
That's one hell of an insightful line. The first empty space of course is the loneliness and the second empty space refers to the "Boink-able" areas on a woman. Sometimes I wonder why I am such an ass... but then I realize that its awesome being one!
Do we really need to go berserk while shopping outside India?
You get it all in India. Is it worth lugging loads and loads of stuff while coming from another country?
In this day and age you get pretty much everything in India(maybe not every city but in metros and tire-1 cities for sure). Inspite of that people carry in loads of chocolates, cheese, clothes etc every time they fly in from a different country. Mind you this is with respect to Indian nationals who live in India and travel on business or pleasure. Is it really worth it is the question.
From kitkat to toblerone, from lindt to liqueur chocolates, from cheddar to kiri cheese, from ralph lauren to prada, from swatch to rolex - you get it all in India.
The quality of roadside stuff picked in many countries is surprisingly good - agreed. But that doesn't mean that you don't get stuff of comparable price in a decent outlet back home.
Here are a few exceptions:
- Electronic goods like computers, hard disks, mp3 players, cellphones from places like the US or Hong Kong
- Unique souvenirs from various countries
- Good winter Jackets etc
- Exclusive merchandise
- Maybe shoes... especially for people with shoe size greater than 12
- Small items like good watches and pens do not really add to the bulk. Again as long as its some really special brand or a super sale throwaway price pick, its not really worth it.

How to prepare yourself for a cold country?
Traveling to a cold country - don't know how to prepare yourself?
Traveling to a cold country can be tricky for multiple reasons:
- Unpredictable and unkind weather
- You tend to travel heavy due to warm clothes, sweaters and jackets
- Flights can get delayed/canceled
- Lack of warm clothes or multiple layers of clothing
Now, when you plan a trip to a cold country, the first thing you need to do is check the weather for your period of stay (www.weather.com). You will get a fair idea of the weather but do not consider the projected weather forecast as final. You will get a better idea about the weather once you get to your destination and check on a daily basis.
Try to have a word with frequent travelers or locals and get an idea of the clothing requirement.
Following are the items that one must/can carry/buy when traveling to a cold country:
- A good jacket - This a must have! Make sure its nice and thick so that you can withstand the windchill as well.
- Gloves - In the cold you need to really protect your hands.
- Good pair of shoes - Get yourself a solid pair of shoes. Preferably something that covers your ankles and has a thick sole.
- Muffler
- Winter cap. You can pick a monkey cap as well if required.
- Woolen thermals - You can get yourself woolen inner-wear and socks. This will really keep you warm.
- Sweater - Its handy to have a good weater. You can use it as an extra layer below your jacket in case of extreme cold.
- Something to cover your ears
Basically if you are well covered and multi-layered, you are all set!
Stinky feet - What to do?
My feet stink. What must I do?
Ever wanted to smack a guy who just pulled out his shoes and stunk the whole damn room!!?? If you've been in this situation the you know what we are referring to. If not, the read on... Many people have stinky feet. You can blame it on quality of shoes, socks, sweat, or whatever you like. But the fact of the matter is that many people have stinky feet.
One of the most effective ways to treat this is by soaking your feet in a bucket full of black tea (warm water with many tea bags dipped in).
The tannic acid in the tea is antibacterial, antifungal, and an astringent which works on the organisms that cause the ordor.
What to do when your flight is cancelled?
My flight's canceled, what should I do?
This can be a matter of great concern especially when you are traveling from a location/country that you don't belong to or have limited or no knowledge about
Do's:
- Take it easy. You are not the first one to be in this situation! Always remember that the flight (in all probability) has more people, so you are not alone.
- Look for an information center or an airport personnel who can guide you to the correct ticket counter or give you information about an alternate plan chalked out by the airline.
- Always remember that when a flight is canceled you are not expected to pay for a new ticket.
- Many a times you are entitled to free refreshments etc. Grab a bite if you wish.
- Check your visa status and confirm with the concerned airline personnel whether you are good to fly on a later date if required.
- Find out if your accommodation will be taken care of in case of a big delay.
- Connecting flight - Find out how your canceled flight will impact the rest of your journey, connecting flights in particular. Generally if you a flying from point A to point C using the same airline you seldom need to worry as they will take care of the connecting flight bookings as well. But if you are flying from point A to A1 and A1 to B on a particular airline and point B to C on a different airline, any hiccup on the A to B route can lead to a lot of negotiation and trouble getting on a flight from point B to C, especially during peak seasons when seats are scarce.
- Bare in mind that many a times flying th following day is a much better option that struggling and traveling on the same day with an itinerary which has you waiting in different ports for hours together.
Dont's:
- Panic
- Call up your agent and go mental
- Have a nervous breakdown
- Lose your cool and punch someone in the face
Goal 3 - Crappy is an understatement
Goal 3 - One of the worst movies ever made.

Goal (the first part) was well made and Goal - living the dream (the sequel) somehow managed to cut it but Goal 3 is one of the most disappointing movies ever. If an amateur film-maker in his teens were to make a movie under the influence of every possible chemical drug known to mankind, even that would result in some kind of visual joy. Goal 3 is a poor poor attempt to keep the "Dream" alive.
What is "Ya Jhakaas"?
